How to focus your mind? Why it is necessary?
Power of mind is the greatest power with which we all human beings are blessed. We can do extraordinary things with our brain power that we actually are not aware. But the big question is how much and to what extent we can use its power? The more focused mind can give you better result in all dimensions.
So we all should do an internal introspection to know that how much we are focused. The better you know about yourself the more effectively you can work on it. So after knowing that how much we are focused the next step comes is how to focus our mind to get most out of it.
Today I am going to write about a critical issue, an issue which is not trouble to a particular age group but every one of us and that is “How to Focus”. But before we go to those tips I want to ask some question from all of you to take you in the actual reality of wandering mind.

Because our mind love wandering. And we have two option, either let him wander or to control him. The controlled and concentrated mind can help you to give more productive results. You are the only one that can teach your mind how to focus.
So today I will share top 5 tips how to focus your mind:
1. Fight for More
Stretch your capacity by fighting to yourself. By pushing our self from the point of exhaustion will strengthen our will power and our mind to do extra after the point of exhaustion. And the person who became able to cross that exhaustion point that is the winner. So the first tip in journey of how to focus your mind is fight for more. It will help you to strengthen your mental endurance and an internal strength to bear more.
2. One work at one time:
Learn the art of prioritising. When you will learn the quality you will able to keep your focus on the one work at a time. When you lack in the art of prioritising your thoughts keep on changing and you are not able to focus your mind at one place. This second tip will help you to keep in streamline to get your goals of how to focus your mind. To understand this tip I want to take you to one of the human resource theory given by Friedman in 1996, where he describes two types of personality people.
There are two types of people:
- Type A: Type A personality persons are more stress prone, very sensitive, impatient and fast in whatever they do. Mostly they are short tempered. They try to do many things at a time. Due to this behaviour they feel stressed because of time constraints.
- Type B: Type B personality person are less prone to stress. They are more reflective and innovative they are patient people. They do works on priority and do meet the work timeline with less pressure of work.
So we should adapt all those qualities that end up toward Type B kind of personality. Type B personality’s person get more success in their life.
3. Crisscross to postpone:
Kick the word procrastination. When it comes into your mind means your mind is distracting you. Many times you have feel that when you are about to complete the work a thought always comes into our mind i.e. can we postpone the rest for tomorrow. At this point you are listing to your heart not to your brain. You will have to make a practise for completion. All successful people never postpone their work. When sense of completion will come into your mind you will able to concentrate more on your work. This tip will help you to achieve your time line of the work also.
How to stop procrastination:
- Stop punishing yourself for procrastinating.
- Tackle your most important task for 15 minutes
- Break tasks down into small chunks.
4. UNDERSTAND WHERE YOUR FOCUS NEEDS TO BE
Our mind doesn’t focus naturally until unless we are not able to communicate him where the focus is needed. We have to tell our brain about what is important or worthy where it needs to be concentrate. When you block your time for some work priory it mould your mind to increase your concentration to at least 10 %. It will really help you how to focus your mind as well as how to train your mind. Because in the process to understand the worthiness of concentration we are training our mind to be alert for a situation.

Taking short breaks while doing a long hour work will help you to increase your focus and productivity. We are able to focus our mind to some particular time after that we start losing focus. we need energy to focus our mind and short breaks are really a magic to increase focus of mind. According to a study a group of students performs better who take breaks during their assignment than second group who done their work constantly. Short breaks help you how to focus your mind.

“How to focus your mind” is not an easy task it needs your efforts and practise to control it. Initially it will resist your efforts because it wants to wander freely. But your efforts calm it down make it habitual and afterwards it starts follows your instruction. It only needs your time devotion for practise these exercises. After some time, you became perfect in how to focus your mind. You will automatically identify the results through your work productivity.
